Makeup Tips To Look Good In Pictures

TIP #1: CHOOSE FOUNDATION WISELY
I'm sure you've heard this before, but foundations with high SPF content can tend to leave a white cast on your face in photos. To avoid this, look for foundations with little to no SPF. Some of my favorites include Makeup Forever HD Foundation, Makeup Forever Mat Velvet +, Revlon Colorstay, and the Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation.

TIP #2: AVOID LOOKING WHITE-EYED
Although silica-based powders (ex: Makeup Forever HD Powder, It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores..) are excellent setting powders for every day, and look beautiful in person, when used in excess, they can also cause a white cast in photos. Just google "celebrity white under eyes" and you'll know what I'm talking about ;) To avoid this, if you're going to use a silica powder, use very sparingly, especially under your eyes. A few nice options to avoid this problem altogether are the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder, Revlon Nearly Naked Powder, or the Cargo blu_ray Powder.

TIP #3: HEAVY ON THE EYES
This doesn't mean you have to go full-on, smoky, raccoon eyes. This just means your eyes need a little more definition than usual. Flash washes out a large amount of color in your face, and even if you have a pretty subtle eye look in person, a camera can tend to wash it away and make your eyes fade into the background. Your eyes are a main focal point on your face, so you want them to stand out! :) A simple thick black winged liner with full lashes is a super popular red carpet look because this adds glamour and makes the eyes pop. Of course, if you're a smoky-eye lover, like myself, go for it!

TIP #4: CONTOUR
You always want to contour your face, at least a little bit, if you know you're going to be photographed. Again, because a camera flash washes out so much color in your face, if you don't contour, your face can look flat. Contouring adds dimension, and helps you to look slimmer, glowing and fabulous ;)

TIP #5: MATCH FACE TO BODY
Don't fall victim to the case of the mismatched head! Hehe ;) If you're wearing the wrong foundation color, it can be blatantly obvious with the flash of a camera. You always want to make sure that you're blending your foundation and bronzer down your neck to match your chest area. It's okay if your foundation is a bit lighter than your body, because it's an easy fix to bronze it up to match, but it's much harder to lighten up a foundation that's too dark.

And finally, you always want to stand up straight, and smile! Smile with your WHOLE face. Tyra Banks really knows what she's talking about when it comes to "smizing" ;)  Also, find your best angle. I'm sure you've heard someone say, "Oh, get me from my good side!" I think there's truth to that, and everyone has a "better", or more flattering side when it comes to pictures. It's okay if you want to practice in the mirror. Everyone does it, and this way you'll be able to find your best pose!

Hope this was helpful! Thanks for stopping by..:)
